Finally! A case! Also, just for the hell of it, I plugged my Bokeh's into my little Walkman and it absolutely bumps. The Bokeh are so efficient.

I do love the red but damn those natural finishes are lush. They look more expensive.

40 hours burn in on mine. My Hiby R6 is on a cycle of charge, play till dead, charge, bless it.

But it really does seem to have helped. They do seem to have relaxes a bit but not in a flabby way, but a “I can each higher and lower way.”

I’m 100% sure they have improved with the R6. They were still amazing at the beginning of my burn in, but I wasn’t blown away. But now it’s like “ooh you hit that”.

I do think I need the big headband cover. They clamp real nice, but even on my big head they need a little something extra. Perhaps some judicial twisting will help. Amazingly I’m on the smallest bit one adjustment.

Even so, I didn’t think I could find a more comfortable set of cans than the NightOwls. Considering the overall size and weight, I’m stunned at how these fit.

And again these are the least fussiest headphones I’ve ever heard AND shine as well as they do with good recordings.

I can’t wait for the Tungsten’s, but these are the ultimate “I just want to enjoy” headphones, be that just flicking through music, PC/YouTube browsing and the bit of gaming I have done.

While they might not reach the pinnacle of Ryan’s efforts, for poops and giggles, these are simply incredible.

Tomorrow the Black Limba batch is being released at 8:30 Am CST // 1:30PM UTC.

https://shop.zmfheadphones.com/collections/stock-headphones/products/bokeh

A couple quick notes!

1. This batch is still Limba wood, but more specifically "Black" Limba which has many natural characteristics. best to watch my YouTube Video below, but expect aberrations, all of which I find very beautiful!

2. PRO OFC 4N cable is available as an add on.
3. BOKEH Case is available as an add-on, it'll be available a-la-carte within a month.

This batch will be 200 units - and it will start shipping in 4 weeks or less. Estimate to complete the entire batch is 12 weeks.

Some pics!

"Whatever you do, do it good" - Otis Brown. That case is just right. And the new unstained Limba wood... spectacular. I'm in.

I think the hybrid pad makes more sense as the stock pad. It's more neutral and more likely to appeal to a wider range of tastes. The protein pad is very much a "basshead" pad, which not everyone is looking for.

Amazing job on the case @BooUrns! Looks fantastic.
I have to give the credit on this one to our very own Joe. Known as “Dusty Joe” from our CanJam London video. He is a fantastic designer and an awesome team member. He really put in the leg work on this one as I was carried off to other tasks!

Fits great in a backpack and is generally on fleek in every way. I’m so excited we finally have it!

Is that case specific to Bokeh or will it work with other ZMFs as well ?

Oh - we are changing the stock pad for this run to the Hybrid Pad. Take note!
I think this is a good decision. While I like the Protein pads a lot, I've been using the Hybrid pads more overall. They seem to gel with a wider range of genres and gear pairings compared to the Protein pads. Still, if you want to turn it up to 11, the Protein pads are king! My advice for potential Bokeh buyers would be to definitely invest in the tuning kit if you can.

Tell Dusty Joe well done!

I've been preparing to order these all week, but as the release is getting closer I'm starting to get doubts. The lighter colour wood would look out of place on my desk, hopefully the next batch is made of darker wood, maybe a small special batch at some point?

Mine have arrived this morning. They are stunning headphones. I've plugged them into a chord hugo2 >woo wa8 and they sound so nice. Doesn't blast detail into your ears but not lacking either. Feel lighter than other zmf headphones too. These will be the perfect daily driver for me. Really want that case now!

Any proud new Bokeh owners able to compare to Focal Celestee? I use them for travel and daily wear in non-open-back situations and quite like them. I wonder if these would be better…

Well, they finally arrived today and all I can say is wow!!!!
Only listened for 30 mins or so on Soloist 3x gt and Geshelli J2S through Eversolo A6 streamer and I'm honestly struggling to find a negative........
Obviously need to burn in but if these can only get better, then they have to be some of the best value cans on the market today imo......
Bass is huge, controlled, deep and very satisfying. Mids are there perfectly and I love my treble (HEK Stealths) and these are nowhere near that but actually have a bloody great amount regardless - don't feel ANY treble rolloff. Timbre for me is wonderful, as instruments sound natural and also well separated. Clarity is great too and for me have ample soundstage (I tend to hear left to right predominantly and struggle with out front sounds. But these are wonderful.

Comforting as a warm fart in pants on a cold day and light compared to some. Build is 10/10 and Jesu Christo they look AMAZING!!!!

I asked for gnarly wood and got it in spades!!

Lots of exciting time ahead listening on OTC and OTL tube amps as well as my Topping G5 which I just bought as a portable for these. And it is a beast too!!!

And bought the tuning kit too so more fun to be had!!

The team at ZMF have been wonderful communicators and provided excellent support too, so thanks to all and especially @BooUrns and @zach915m !!!!

2 ZMFs in 2 months and this is just the beginning!!!!!! Bloody great cans!!!
Congrats! The spalting pattern looks really nice. The Bokehs are very compatible and play nicely with various amps in my inventory and also do well with portable DAPS/phones. "Comforting as a warm fart in pants on a cold day" I've read a lot of descriptions and impressions about headphones but yours is one of a kind. :o2smile:

Been listening with my VC's and HA300mk2 all week, and just jumped over to the Bokeh and RU7 powered by my iMac, and damn the Bokeh just grab me immediately and don't let go. :grinning: I jumped from a $13,000 dollar system with my VC's, to a $1,300 dollar setup with the Bokeh and I am just as engaged and maybe even more with the latter.

The Bokeh are so freaking good it's insane. The value is just nuts, and I really can't wait to hear the Open version.

Long live the Bokeh!
