Well I ended up getting a EC ZDS to pair with the Auteur. It will be here Friday... can’t wait to hear this combo.

Silk wood Auteur looks almost regal in its golden-ness.

I'm all out of victims kidneys to sell.

I was going to try to sell my nose, but the market stinks...

If you get a really high end Amp you could probably live inside of it. :)

I think out of all of the woods that Zach has used for the Auteurs these are my favorite. Gorgeous!

Interesting sound description -- every word feels like a pick-pocket. Good think I left my wallet at home :)

Silkwood is interesting. There are numerous woods which have 'Silkwood' as part of their common name -- all in the genus Flindersia. Hardness values between are 850 and 2400, which is a very wide range. Weights are low, 34-35 lbs/cu.ft, compared to 40 for Teak, and 75! for Blackwood.

Well I dunno 'bout that... Those cocobolos look gorgeous! Zach is really getting the finish on the woods tight and clean. Just exemplary workmanship.

While the Cocobolos are a beauty; it just doesn't pull my eye like the silkwood. The silkwood look like the grain has a liquid like property that was then encased in light coat of ember. :ok_hand:

I think this is partially because it's easier to take photo's of the Silkwood's. I've got a Cocobolo Atticus and a Blackwood Auteur and both look significantly better in person than they did from a camera.
