This may trigger a big discussion but, wanted to know if it is safe to repeatedly connect and disconnect the jacks from the headphones i mean like once or twice a day? I use it and then store it in the box again for which i have to remove the cables. Anyone know for how many revovals and attachments the jacks and ports are rated?😅
I'm curious why you want to store them in the box every day. Why not just put them on a headphone stand...

Critters prone to vandalism in the house? I’ve seen reports of evil cats with deadly claws and dogs who will chew on anything smaller than a car.

Or he's taking them to/from work?

Nah, it's just as a precaution. Mom calls me butterfingers, i tend to knock over and drop stuff, this is an insurance. Also protection from dust and stuff, a house is being constructed next to mine now.

You could always get a case that allows them to be stored with the cable attached. Amazon has some extra-large ones (I got one for my HD-8XX's that would do the trick.

I have a MUCH easier solution for you (please ignore, ironically, the disconnected cables in this picture; I just packed these headphones to go, and unpacked them to take these pictures for you):

(1) Use a a good headphone stand that will keep your headphones well protected
(no "butterfingers" will topple it off this one -- my favourite boutique for head stands out of Ukraine: https://www.etsy.com/shop/Borykworkshop?ref=simple-shop-header-name&listing_id=1116017459)

(2) Use a stax cover to protect against dust
(I use this one with most of my headphones. Maybe overkill, but gives me a great peace of mind -- https://www.headamp.com/products/stax-cpc-1)

Voilà! :)

Those are some of the prettiest ZMFs I've seen
Thank you 🙏

Atrium Macassar Ebony, which I got them in person from ZMF at CanJam Chicago where it debut. I was fortunate to have my pick of their limited edition selection they had on offer at the start of the show.

I believe @zach915m inidciated he will be posting this weekend a new batch of limited edition...

This is a great way to protect our headphones. I don't often use them for electrodynamic headphones. But all my orthos and estats are with vinyl covers -- I have to confess only uber and expensive (or rare/unobtanium) ones are with cpc-1.. For cheaper headphones I'm recycling generic vinyl bags achieved from various grocery stores lol.

Never really thought of dust as a major issue but totally can be. Thanks! Got these dust covers :)
