I need to say more. I’ve heard this album at 24/192 FLAC Qobuz countless times on my big rig. This album sounds AMAZING on my big rig and is a total mood enhancing experience (without drugs or alcohol, mind you). BUT THIS HP! First HP I’ve ever heard this album on to move me as much or more as my loudspeakers. Huge stage, immersive, richly imbued lower mids. And the bass. What bass this HP has! A little nudge with the balanced studio EQ at 15 kHz and the cymbals just crystalline. Love it.

As you might have seen in this thread, it only gets better for the first 120-150 hours. Seriously. And at about 20 hours the burn in is tightening bass and smoothing treble.

For those who have felt the thin lambs give too broad a bass shelf. Not boomy but reaching too high up in FR for that person’s taste. Using very high quality EQ (prefer studio analog, NOT Schiit EQ), add in some 15 k. To my ears and with most recordings this is HEAVENLY. You never know til you try it.

Queensland Maple just arrived.
Just a couple of quick pics with the smart phone. I'll take some better pictures once the DSLR batteries charge.
The pictures don't do them justice. It has an almost Lenticular 3D affect that is really cool.

You had me at “lenticular 3D effect”. As a former print professional, I can imagine wood with that level of chatoyance being mesmerizing!Queensland Maple just arrived.

The dark stain and color of the rods works so well, and that is one drop dead gorgeous pair of headphones right there!Queensland Maple just arrived.

It's really cool when you look at it from different angles the grain of the wood changes. The dark stain and color of the rods works so well, and that is one drop dead gorgeous pair of headphones right there!
I'll see if my phone can capture that in a short video.
Last night they went on my head at 12noon and did not leave my head till I went to bed, and I stayed up way longer than I should have. I finally hit the sack at 12midight.
I then hooked them up to my RS6 DAP to continue to burn in all night.
If AC's made of the same kind of ebony wood that the Meze Liric 2's are made of become available, my wallet is in serious trouble. I'm in the market for a new set of cans and am in information-gathering mode now. I'd probably forgo the research phase and jump to purchase if such AC's were made, even though I really don't want to buy a new amp to drive it this year. hahahaha

I hate to break it to you, but Zach does have ACs made from Macassar Ebony. It's my favorite ZMF wood and have one (and an AO in the same wood) and it's glorious sounding. If you hate your wallet ask if he has one in the shop.If AC's made of the same kind of ebony wood that the Meze Liric 2's are made of become available, my wallet is in serious trouble. Oh you poor soul, man hasn't even seen a Macassar Ebony ZMF set, yeah they're stunning, maybe my favorite looking. I believe goldwerger here was actually the first to ever own a ZMF in that wood, might've been the AO or VC I forgot.Dammit....
Also look up the black and white ebony ones if you haven't seen those yet. They look amazing! It's my favourite finish so far.
I had a Macassar VC and it looked stunning. I sold it (my third VC), because the sound wasn’t for me. It looked so beautiful it was hard to let go. I had planned on just making it a display piece, and hanging it in a case off my wall, but that was more effort than it was worth. A Macassar AC or VC would be very nice looking. I dunno about a CC, with the triangle and all, but maybe…
