About to pull the trigger - I have a magnesium VC right now and a magnesium Koa AO but that Koa was still roughly at 550g even with magnesium and the weight didn’t bother me. Anyone with a weighty aluminum ZMF ever have concerns/issues? Thinking I may save the $250 this time

OK good - that's what I figured. My VC is super light since it's camphor, black rods and MAG chassis but, even then, somehow I actually preferred how my "much heavier" Atrium Open felt on my head when I had it. Just felt a little more secure funny enough but the weight never bothered me. I think when I pull the trigger I might save the $$ this time on the chassis. Waiting on a huge deal to close to justify the purchase first. Fingers crossed!

I know..I know this will happen before end of the day ......ended up ordering AC olive LTD!! really looking forward to it and will have to decide between AC and VC (cant justify keeping both)...now the waiting game begins!!

Just received a tracking number and tracking says Fedex has the package! #57 order number for what it'sworth.

Was not expecting to get it this fast. I was mentally preparing myself for the torment of waiting 5-10 weeks lol. SO excited!!

Wow mine shipped as well (olive+case)!! Unbelievably fast, was also fully prepared for at least a month wait. Order was #13356, ordered right at 11:00 eastern.

I ordered a salire headphone stand together with the AC. Hopefully the stand doesn’t delay the headphones from shipping .

In hindsight maybe I should have ordered the stand separately

Took some photo's of the "LTD" optional wood case that's available with the Olive LTD. And a fancy owners card that comes with all the Olive sets.

I had put my foot down and decided to go for a stabilized even though I’ve gone for launch purchase since the VO but these pictures almost shake my resolve to wait

Just curious, why are folks getting wood case for extra $150? It looks good and no question on that but all my cases are somewhere in closer or drawers that I never get to see once I take the headphone out of the box!

if you have room to leave them out, they're beautiful boxes to keep your headphones in when not in use, and look great as a room decoration. if i had a dedicated listening room i'd have all my ZMFs in wooden boxes on a table or stand as a display. it's a preference thing.

Strung Out in Heaven is pure bliss with the Atrium Closed. Strings in general are hauntingly real with the AC

I’ll “throw my hat in the ring” here too and note that the VC sounds great with a Woo Audio WA2 OTL amp.

I think you're definitely good with aluminum. I have AO / Koa with aluminum myself, and I don't notice all that much difference in comfort between that one and my VO in silkwood with magnesium, which is much lighter. The suspension really does a great job distributing weight.

Looks like wavering back and forth about aged cherry or olive for 30 minutes after the AC became available bought me a month of waiting.
