If you didn’t have any I’d say go for the CC but since you already own the VC the AC will give you greater contrast. Man talk about looking like a secret message with these abbreviations lol. The design of the CC is striking in person though.
I currently have a VC. I'm trying to add a CC or AC, what do you recommend?

Has anyone compared an Atrium Closed in Queensland Maple to any other wood? Just curious what the sonic differences are and if it's similar to the generic differences between very hard and softer woods since it's on the softer side.

Just received the "Your ZMF is being assembled!" email! Super excited! This will be my first ZMF, though I somehow suspect it won't be my last. :)
I got the same email this morning.

One step closer.

Edit : Not the exact same email. For me the wood blocks have been chosen and are being CnC'd.

Got my AC in 2 days ago. I sent today the following to a head fi friend (no need to retype):
got them singing! MAJOR learning curve though. Had to meticulously go through several steps. Seal almighty important here. 1. Back and forth twice with pads to determine lamb indeed best 2. Rotation of pads. Meaning turning them on their axis as to where exactly to put the higher thicker part. Never had to do this with any HP before. But Holy crap that really matters with these HP’s towards seal and SQ! A lot. It reminds me of changing earbud types for iems. Pain in ass but once exactly right and best seal obtained the headphones SING. 3. Clamp pressure. They were too loose and wasn’t getting enough bass. Watched videos and (very fearfully) started bending. Finally got that right! 4. Burn in. 2 days of playing them a lot and they sound much different than the sandpaper mids and highs I was getting right out of the box. Granted, 1,2,and 3 not right influenced the first listen as well.
So where am I with them now? They sound f*cking amazing!
