I can only speculate why such a rare Item was still there. I hope Zach can sort them out quickly.

Anyone knows if there’s sound differences between regular cherry vs Ash Ltd ?
Ash is a little harder than Cherry, so I believe it will sound a little different. It’s not as hard as Olive or stabilized sets, but in my mind (as a satisfied Ash AC owner) it strikes the perfect balance between soft and hard woods.

Disclaimer: I’ve only heard my Ash Atrium Closed, so this is all conjecture on my part. Zach did tell me that Ash is a nice medium wood sitting between Cherry and Olive.

I found a local dealer that had one Atrium closed with the purple ash LTD. However I got unlucky as there was some issue with the right side driver and had to return it back the next day. The dealer said no ETA on the replacement….
I’m really disappointed as I didn’t expect this on a product at this price range. Hope the dealer and zmf can sort this for me asap as I am really impressed with their sounds

It's very likely the driver got sucked out a little because of the air travel. Atrium Closed is very sensitive to thus because they are incredibly closed off with little outside airflow.

I spoke with the dealer and there's a good chance the headphone is fine and just needs the membrane adjusted quickly.

We have a very thorough QC process and this is basically the only thing that can happen aside from the dealer putting the item out for display, a amp making a loud noise because it was plugged in during the on/off and it causing an issue.

Abwyas I'm in contact with the dealer and we will get it sorted quickly.

Pads will have a much bigger impact than wood choice

I agree, pads make a bigger difference for sure. That being said, it has been noted by many that have had a chance to compare the Atrium Closed in hard and soft wood variations that wood choice makes a bigger difference in sound on the AC than other ZMF models.

People here in my city are more into IEMs than headphones.

Thank you Zack.
The craftsmanship on those wood are just stunning, can’t wait to hold it and listen music with it.

Someone asked this earlier. Don’t think the query was answered. How much different does Ash LTD sound from stock cherry, which is slightly softer wood? I’m about to pull the trigger on a set and can’t decide which one. I’ll be driving them with Headamp GSX-Mini. SS.

Pads will have a much greater impact. Go with which you prefer visually.

Which Titan Mesh would reduce the Atrium Closed's treble by roughly 1 to 2 db?

Additionally, how else would the meshes affect the sound? Any change to the bass or soundstage, for example?
It's target the treble on a greater basis than the rest, you'd want the "burst" mesh for a couple dB, and the solid mesh for 3 or 4 dB.

Thanks! Just to be clear, by "burst" do you mean the Radial mesh or the Bokeh mesh?
Bokeh!

Posting this here as it helped a couple people on the Bokeh thread. Wanted to quickly share my method for switching ZMF pads, as I continue to see folks struggling with this on all the different ZMF threads and this cuts the pad change time down to seconds. Please try this and let me know if it helps.

You deserve an award or something. The real MVP. I just tried it out and BAM!
