Does AC use the same mesh options as AO and do they exhibit the same treble effect going from fully closed to no mesh (closed - stock - radial vented - none)?

The AC is mesh free.

Are you going to pair a Macassar AC with your Macassar AO? I'd be envious then. I want one but alas will not be attending Canjam!
I don't have an atrium yet. My Caldera is Macassar. The plan is to have an open and closed back TOTL zmf can, so the atrium closed came at the right time. Hopefully some lovely sets available during canjam socal (If I can wait that long!).

And no mesh? Perf pads? It's a closed back apocalypse! What is happening?!? :)

Listening to my eikons right now to get in the mood for future AC!

This looks like what I'm looking for. I understand the Thin Lambskin Caldera pads will be stock with Suede Calderas beeing the second best choice. Looking forward to impressions for all the remaining pads. The "normal" Caldera Lambskin, Thick Lamb Caldera and of course the Cowhides.

Good thing I already own a caldera and can't make it to a canjam. If I can somehow try these, I'm pretty sure I won't be able hold myself back.
I guess I'll just drool looking at it while listening to the caldera🤷‍♂️

@zach915m will there be any difference between the pre-release ACs you'll have at hand at CanJam NY and the launch version?
Only difference will be included pads - as the versions at Canjam may only have one set of pads, although I am bringing some extra's for those who want suede as well. Some may have to buy suede off the site if they want suede or others as well. We also will not have the titan mesh on all sets, I'm finding I prefer it with suede and not on lambskin (since it's bassier.)

The headphone itself will remain unchanged as far as sound sig etc.

@zach915m Zach, sorry if you already mentioned it somewhere, but what is the expected weight range on the stock wood model?
I just weighed a few sets - looks like 498g for Aluminum and 464g for Magnesium is the average - this is the stock cherry cups, aged or natural as the aged is using the "coffee gold" aluminum rods.

Man so bummed I can't be in NYC to try them. @zach915m would you say that for people that have upper mid / presence sensitivity these may be a little more relaxed than the VC in that region? I'm terrible at looking at graphs and imagining the sound signature. I really like the Atrium Open.

I hope to have my review later tonight (no promises but working on it). But quick note is that the AC's upper mid and presence are more forward than the VC to my ears. However, there is no sibilance at all and the headphones are non-fatiguing. The Suede pads, to my taste, provide an overall smooth presentation. More to come.
