To bring both topics together I have attached the following:

*Edit: the whiskey is a bourbon called "Blood Oath #5" for those curious

I still don’t know what amp/dac to pair with my aelous/scotch
Tube amp, if you ask me...
As for DAC - I personally use the Metrum Amethyst (ZMF is the US distributor for them).

Just polished off my Diplomatico last weekend... I have three other brands I'm working on lol. One is a Zacapa 23 sistema solera, I also have Kaniche Perfeccion and a Santa Teresa 1796 solera rum.

You could also try to find, a Zacapa Edition Negra surprising for a rum
Bought the Santa Teresa for my dad last Christmas, or maybe it was 2 Christmas ago... Can't remember. Was good though

Damn, I'm thirsty now lol

Never knew it was made with scotch whisky... How do you drink it? On ice or in a cocktail?

Kelvin
I used to drink it on ice, but recently I have been drinking it straight.

We sound like a bunch of music loving alcoholics. Would A,A, be for Alcoholics Anonymous, or Aeolus Anonymous?
Or A.A.A.A. (Audiophiles And Alcohol Anonymous)

“Hello, my name is Tyler, and I like booze and high end headphones....” *crowd in unison* “Hi Tyler, you’re not alone!”

Wanted to post a picture of my headphone and what I drank last night but then I remembered that this is an Aeolus thread lol

I drank a Redbreast 15 years old :)

Ok, as a fellow whiskey and audio lover, I feel obligated to jump in... RB15 is a nice treat! Try the RB12 cask strength if you havent... well worth the extra $20-$30 over the standard RB12. I found a deal on a bottle of RB21 a year ago that I couldn't pass up, but waiting for an extra special occasion to crack it open. Back to the RB15... if you enjoy that, Yellowspot is another fantastic irish pour at a similar price. Enjoy!
