Whats being said there is that the frequency response is +0.1 dB from 20Hz - 20 KHz. It's simply the range that was tested.

Does anybody knows how this this compares against other chinese dacs+headamps such as Zero or Zhaolu?

If used only as a headamp, how it compares against dedicated SS amps such as little dot MKV?

I am getting one of these, looking at the HEF188 i also hold the same suspicion abt it being a clone of the lehmann black cube, but i have never heard the lehmann before.

it is. just one look under the hood of both gives it away, the HEF188 is identical minus the pre-amp section and gain switches at the bottom.

That's the problem with a lot of the DACs coming out of China these days. One look at the PCB and you get the instant feeling that you have seen it before under a different brand name. It's like many other products coming from China, where factories copy each other, rather than innovate. Where has sound quality gone heh?

At least one good thing is that if it is in the Zhaolu etc type league, then the cheaper TC-7510 is still the class leader in terms of audio performance capability, and the one all these Chinese clones got to match up to price and performance wise.
