OK Ya'll. My cd/dvd collection is growing month-by-month. I had "binders" for awhile - didn't like the fact that I had to store the jewel cases elsewhere. I did the "one-touch" push button drawer cd holder...same thing... didn't like having to store jewel cases elsewhere. So, now, the cds and dvds are on the top shelf in the closet. I hate that. I have a collection that I'd like to display. I went to Circuit City today looking for a possible solution. They didn't have anything there that caught my eye. Plus...the things that they did have leaves your possessions out in the open. I have a 4 year old, 2 year old and 1 year old. Not a good idea to have something like that. heh....

What do you guys do for your solution?

Thanks for the advice.

I use a 1600 CD spinner rack. It holds all of my CDs and DVDs (for now), and the fact that it fits neatly in the corner is a huge benefit since wall space is at a premium and I cannot fit a huge set of shelves here. It won't keep the discs safe from the wandering hands of kids, but it's the best solution I've found without going to the extremely expensive Can-Am cabinet system.

I store my CDs inside a Wal-Mart plastic bag.

It's getting full, I better obtain another plastic bag.

Another vote for the Boltz racks. Not the absolue cheapest solution, but they are very well priced considering their looks and build quality. I've got one of the CD-600x2 racks (holds 1200), 3 of the CD-275 racks, and 2 of the MM-160 racks for DVDs.

I'm about to order a 4 shelf 36" wide unit for LP's as well which will store 720 albulms (lots of room for growth, which I'm anticipating because I'm loving the vinyl experience).
