The Heyday is a touch more revealing than the Canon 2 to my ears. That might be due to the technical capabilities of the planar driver config or it could be down to tuning. I could see pulling the Heyday out for less bass-focused genres but at the moment my ears are craving the more full-bodied bass response of the Canon 2? So, somewhat unclear at the moment, TBD.I just bought a Heyday but haven't received it yet. I have the OG Canon too. You think they can coexist? From the graphs I've seen the OG Canon is much bassier than the 2. Also got a Aful P5 and it sounds great too.

I'll have to do some AB testing when I have both on hand. I tend to use the Canon in 100 mode for more bass focused music like chillhop.

I always carry two OG Canons in my bag - "000" and "100". I usually reach for "000", but sometimes I want extra funI'll have to do some AB testing when I have both on hand. I tend to use the Canon in 100 mode for more bass focused music like chillhop.

The switches are very small and fragile - they are not meant for constant changes.Lol can't be bothered to just push the switch?
You are supposed to find the sound signature you like, and stick to it.
TIL. Thanks for the heads upThe switches are very small and fragile - they are not meant for constant changes.

Yes, i also went back to 10, i dont know how to describe it, but i like better at 10.I've found the 11 setting to be less enjoyable sounding than the 10 default. I really haven't listened much to 01 and 00, but the measurements on 10 and 01 look identical and I couldn't really hear a difference in a quick sample day one. But I'm too obsessed with how it sounds in the 10 configuration to be bothered to try anything else. This has absolutely unseated the Heyday as my daily go-to.
I just found out the Fiio red bass tips i used isnt suitable, somehow makes the bass muddy. Back to stock tip for now.
If an issue came up with a moonlight or other Yanyin iem where would be the best option to inquire for repairs? Linsoul?
Well it’s not linsoul, total blow off from them. Politely worded blow off, but a blow off all the same

Yikes! A lot of bad word of mouth about them here on the thread.
Graphs of the Yanyin Canon 2 via IEC711 coupler. 8 kHz is a coupler peak.
It is a 4BA + 1DD (biological diaphragm) hybrid, with 4 tuning options (via 2 switches). The switches do work and act mostly at 300 Hz and below. If bass is decreased, the ear perceives the treble to be increased, and vice versa.
Listening impressions to follow soon.

Haven't tried the original unfortunately. Hope someone who has both can advise.
