Lamb, cork/pork chops, next it will be poor old deer's!

Lors, I tried your mod on uncovering the vent holes and I am impressed so far.

Will give an update over the weekend.

Has anyone tried these new Lamb ear pads?

I am tempted as they would be cooler but even though the are not as thick as other pads, I still think they may be too thick and affect the SQ.

Also, since the drivers are already angled on the MT220 (as others have said) I don't think the angled version would be suitable.

Thanks Lors, the above post has me even more confused.

Approaching the Winter, warm ears may not be such a bad thing.

I thought you were using the Monks as opposed to the Yams?

I have been away from head-fi for awhile (my wallet has been extremely thankful) but I have alway wanted to try the Yammie if I can find one.  What are the main differences between the two?  I have the DT150 and they are not going anywhere!

Its been 6mths for u wayne?? Whewww...u are an addict!!!

Ermmm...vs the dt150
the yammie is a cheetah...
Speedy...better seperation/layering...
Brighter...more exciting..alive...
As if i m onstage with the action.

Dt150 is composed..comfy..
Nonfatiguing..more body..
More bottom..less highs..
Needs good power to really shine.
My Audiogd nfb10.32 gives it a good push :)

After some more listening, I think I like the TH-X00 with proper EQ better than the MT220. The MT220 has certain qualities to it that absolutely warrant keeping it, though.

Hi guys, i had bought the new mt220 for about a week and love it. The sound is expansion and feel like listening to concert. After hearing for a week and return to my other headphone, i intend to sell away my other headphone which are mdr7520 and hd25ii. Considering getting another mt220 before really sold out.

The mt220's are indeed wonderful. I personally wouldn't sell the hd25ii's though - they are classics! Also, they are truly portable (and isolate well).

Hd25ii indeed very portable and i like the vocal very much too. I always keep looking for good headphone that can display the sound which is intended and no coloration to it. And i also like to try new technology like planar. So still considering if i should get another mt220. I had briefly listen to t50mk3 and the sound is not bad compare to mt220 but need a lot of power. And good headphone which is consider an upgrade to mt220?

Well, I love the audioquest nighthawks. But others will chime in with their preferences.

As far as planars are concerned, these might end up being surprising..
