Ye this sucks. I'll leave my case for what it is I guess. I'm pretty sure that the burn in will accomplish nothing. Since it's just 1 decibel difference and we're talking about really cheap IEMs, it's not too big of an issue.

I have had two pairs of these and both have died by driver death, one in under six months and now the replacement pair at around fourteen... Annoying as i like the sound for a cheap pair of beater iems i don't need to worry about.

Anyone have suggestions for an alternative with similar properties (sound/price/build) that doesn't die?

There are tons of options out there that are better now.

TRN V80 are a decent upgrade and have removable cables for a similar price.

Who still listen them in 2020 ? :)

I do from time to time.

In fact, I just ordered the brand new Xiaomi 4 driver one they just released.

It even has an mmcx socket now. In addition to the fixed cable, it also comes with a really nice Bluetooth adapter that does LDAC, aptX, etc.

^^ those look interesting. At that price i wonder where their performance will fall.

I don’t know, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

There is a lot of stiff competition at that price level, so hopefully Xiaomi is on their game.

I’m unsure if 1More deigned and tuned this model, like they’ve helped Xiaomi with in the past. But I went ahead and took a chance, as I’ve had good luck with both Xiaomi and 1More products in the past.

What are some of the notable competition around that price?

Just a few off the top of my head that I’m aware of in that price range ($150-$200): ISN H40, Thieaudio legacy 3, Audiosense AQ3, TANSIO MIRAI TSMR-3, BQEYZ Spring 2, Dunu Falcon C, TFZ Secret Garden

There are, of course, many more.

In the Chinese "youtube", there's a channel that they measure and do sound demos for many models, and they have this model against some kilobuck IEMs.

At least the FR there's nothing wrong.

So many, i am just about to buy the CCA C10s after reading and researching all afternoon. Hopefully they do the trick and i can back out of this madness again. If my Oriveti NP hadn't broken i would never have gone digging around the IEM world beyond the odd glance, i have hardly looked since 2016 and mostly missed the boat on the chifi stuff, seems like there's some pretty interesting stuff been happening.

Something got me wondering about these this morning. What are you impressions now you've had them a while?

My order never came. The seller was a scam shop, and luckily I was able to get a refund from Aliexpress.
