@HTjapan : I don't recommend the OPA828, I tried it and it doesn't give any benefit compared to the opamps that come standard with the XD05 Pro.
You could instead try the Muse 8920, which have a wider soundstage, and a user here wrote that he was happy with the Muses 02, but I haven't tried them.
Just got a second hand ZMF Atrium Closed and the XD05 Pro / Sparkos pairs great with it!
Bass slams, mid especially vocals are lush, highs are smooth.
First closed back I have been able to keep on for hours without getting sweaty and claustrophobic. Perfect combo to recline in my layzboy and tune out the world!

I’m new to this so sorry if this is a dumb question. Did you get two of these items from the Sparkos website? And do you need any other accessories to make it work with the XD05 Pro? https://sparkoslabs.com/product/dual-discrete-op-amp-ss3602/

Two of the SS3602 opamps per your link is all you need. You will most likely need to trim the underside of the opamps because the connectors in the corners can foul against the capacitors on the opamp module itself. A pair of nail clippers is all you need to trim them down. I used a file because the caps on my opamp board weren't particularly well-seated.
No such thing as a dumb question here.... we're all investigating and learning.

If he purchased his XD05Pro recently he may not even have to trim. Someone mentioned here that in the recent versions of the device the caps are placed differently.

The headphone out goes through the onboard amplification stage. I have a couple of portable amps that can operate purely as power amps - Cayin C9 (OG, note ii, sadly) and Sound Tiger Sinfonia. Whilst using the headphone out technically works, it doesn't sound nearly as clean and dynamic as when using a variable line out. The headphone out inevitably colours the sound more, to my ears. The variable LO from something like a HiBy R8ii sounds fantastic when paired with the Sinfonia and Symphonium Europa. I'd like to be able to do similar with the XD05 PRO, running purely as a DAC. I hope that makes sense.
Sorry, I'm afraid I'm not with you. The 4.4 and 3.5 line outs are fixed so there's no way of adjusting the output from the XD05. Or are you suggesting using a pre-amp into the XD05 PRO? I must be a bit slow today.
