I’ll have to check the delete function to see if it works while playing. I literally just left the house, so it will be a while before I can check.

My gut feeling is that it would not be supported, because the database would have to be rebuilt every time a file was deleted. But we shall see...
I Think you maybe correct.....as cant see any where to delete while playing the folders......nevermind , hopefully not to many bad files..

SanDisk Ultra 256GB MicroSDXC UHS-I Card Compatibility

Hello,

I am contemplating buying two of these cards for my gfs x3 for her birthday. I am wondering about the compatibility, it's an SDXC not an SDHC does that make a difference and what's the difference between the XC and the HC? The specific link is:

https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Ultra-MicroSDXC-Adapter-SDSQUNI-256G-GN6MA/dp/B01IC0GJKE

If anyone has this specific card or other XC cards I'd appreciate feedback on compatibility.

Thanks.
Dave.

HC is for cards <32GB
XC is for 64GB-2TB

As long as you format the card FAT32, you can use a card up to 2TB in the X3.

So bottom line is yes the cards will work fine. Just format the cards FAT32.

I’ve used 32, 64, 128, 256, and 400GB cards, and they all work perfectly.

One thing I found out today is the Jam speaker makes a warbler, distorted sound when being played at low volume.
So I tried a few things out with my Xduoo X3.
Using Line out which is volume 100 turning Jam down makes this noise.....Great if playing loud in larger room, or outside.
So using the headphone output put Jam at highest volume and turn down the X3 WORKS that's what you have to do.
Sounds normal now , no distortion. ......hope this helps.

Hi friend -

This is caused by a design defect with X3.

At 100% volume, there is signal distortion from the amplifier circuit due to the gain. If you lower the volume slightly, the distortion is resolved.

This video shows the problem perfectly. You can actually see the problem on the oscilloscope output.

X3 with Aukey S1. Speaker. Coming from line out and using speakers volume works very good, no probs....the distortion only on the Heavy Jam speaker in above photo.

Slater thanks for info, but this only a prob with the Heavy Jam using line out. Ok with headphone out...Aukey S1 ok with both outputs....
Watched the above video where he uses headphone out at top volume, which I don't need to do, as upto vol 70 plenty.
This Jam speaker is known for noise at low volume, but great at high volume...So all good now.

Slater would for £43 if he was in the UK.....or the new X3 11 for about £90

As much as I like the X3, I think my next DAP is going to be touch screen. I have so much music on my DAP (over 20k songs), I am sick of clicking buttons to scroll though massive lists of folders.

I could do a click wheel instead of touch screen though, like the iPods used to have. That was genius.

Hello,

I've got an x3 and just got a replacement 2000 MAh battery for it. I've got two questions, one is it's getting very hot after long usage, like the below situation, is this normal with the 2000 MAh and is there anything I can do about it?

Second question, wondering if i'm getting abnormally fast battery drain. Just off the top I start the player, set the sleep timer which is set to 40 minutes, and when the player powers down then I power it back up i've lost 8% battery. That should be about 8 hours, but it seems to be draining faster than displayed.

I am using rockbox not sure which version. Is there settings or a specific rockbox version I can utilize for maximum battery indurance?

Thanks.
Dave.

@dmehler,

If your battery doesn’t last long and gets real hot, it is defective. Most likely an internal short. I would discontinue use ASAP.

The risk of fire with li-ion is very real. The electrolytic material they contain is extremely flammable. That’s why they catch fire and explode.

Li-ion batteries contain an extremely high energy density, which is both good and bad.
