Does anybody have a proper firmware update file? I keep trying to download from the web but always end up with a corrupted file so it won"t extract fully. Their download is always over and hour or more to download very little in the way of bytes, anxious to update the firmware to version 1.1 but at this rate i'll never get it downloaded. I've had multiple tries with chrome and IE no success either way. Thanks if anyone can post a working firmware.

I noticed mine had a smoother treble, and some kind of 'open' feel after the first 10 to 15 hours. I listened to some song right of the box, and kept it playing in repeat mode for almost almost 15 hours(inside my wardrobe) I wasnt expecting any change, but to say there was a change in the sound. I dont know if 100+ hours made a difference after that(mine will be around some 200 by now). Did anyone get a battery more than 7 hours? Mine just gets dead at 7hours and some minutes.(I kept it playing from full battery, playing songs in random mode).

I got mine playing for roughly 8 hours when using high gain and the volume at 76. That was from a fully charged state

WOW you and some others here play your DAP loud!   I'm usually at 55 with either my Trinity Technes or Vsonic VSD3s and 65 with my Puro IE500s.  Plenty loud for this retired old man (and yes, my hearing still checks out great, thank you very much

Obviously you can hear good if 55 is where your at :p

Good for you. 50-55 is about where I am at while sleeping/nappin. 70-75 is normal listening volume though. On my Yamaha pro500's 75 is right around 80db.while on most of my other headphones 80 is 80db.

I know this varies considerably between folks, still.....

Here's my setup when testing the X3 and NX1 combo:

Nice practical setup... How the bass response with the topping?

Honestly I don't find any substantive SQ difference between the X3 as a standalone or coupled with the NX1.  I do like the convenience of the volume knob on the NX1 when shirt pocket carrying the DAP though.

Volume at 75...?   Good grief!  I don't think I could bear that for any longer than a few seconds.
I typically listen at about 30 - 36 (with the X3's gain setting at +6) on my X3, using a variety of IEMs of fairly average sensitivity.  Even with my full size ATH-M50x, I don't go much above 40-45.  I'm 52 and look after my hearing, but I don't exactly pamper it.

Just goes to show how different human hearing is from individual to individual...

Not sure how the output on the X3 compares with the FiiO X1 but i use 12 ohm 109db/mw IEMS with my X1 at volumes of 60-65 for instrumental music.

My review is up for XDuoo X3:

I tell you what, it if wasn't for leaving room for any slight improvement it would have been a straight 5 stars.

I'm not sure why it took so long, but the XDuoo X3 just got on my radar now.

Just joking, but I'd give it five stars if it supported streaming (well, I'm not joking, but at this price point you can't ask for everything).

Without having done any reading yet, what I initially really like about the X3:
- dual microSD card slots
- REAL BUTTONS!
- output: 250 mW (32ohm)
- auto shutoff (I presume it also has ability to auto-resume where shutoff)

Now the question for me would be, does it sound as good as the Xuelin 770 and C3/BH combo...
