I'm using modded Bowers Wilkins P5. I visited my friend and compared Qls Qa360, Hidizs Ap100 and xDuoo X2 same day. Only xDuoo distorted at bass regions. Also my friend @ozkan said same thing with different headphones. I've never heard distorted or broken speaker bass like sound before out of my P5. I've used different iPods, Sansa models, Studio 3rd Anniv, Hidizs and different brand dacs and heard no distortion with P5.

are you using any EQ on the X2? If so, turn it off and see if that helps.

I can't remember that day. I listened my friends X2 and after 2-3 songs I said "This device produce a distortion and maybe amping design causes this distortion. I'm not sure."

Everyone said no distortion, ok for me. Maybe device which i listened is faulty, don't know.

It was my device he listened that day and I don't accept distortion at lows.
Or his labelling as distortion is much different than mine. If I say distortion exists, there must be a congested and muddy sound, almost as if it's trying to give out sound but can't.

So you personally don´t classify it as distortion?

I am really digging the sound. And the build is excellent. The button pressure required to registed a click is too high though.

I still think the best pairings for me are:

T-Peos H-300
Shure SRH440
Shure SRH840
Havi B3 PRO 1

(no order on that folks)

I want to try with DN-1000 and DN-2000 which I have coming this week and SE535.

And I agree with the button presses, in some ways X2 buttons remind me of those used on Hisound units. After a year or so, they will become soft and lose their spring, this happened on one of my Studio V units. They don't actually fail just lose their vibrance.

What are you pairing with X2?

i'm pairing it with the trash can or rmaa slip

But you're very rough with your gear, take a look here what you did last year.
