xDSD Gryphon: birth of a ‘head-fi’ legend

I had both the Gryphon and hipdac2 and for sound only I give a VERY slight nod to Gryphon. It of course has all the extra stuff. Its xBass was also done better. In my opinion if you don't care about the BT, secret sound sucks and the hipdac2 can drive your headphones I would probably lean that way especially if budget would be stretched. I ended up returning both and getting the Mojo 2 and Poly combo and am much happier, although I spent a lot more too of course.
my focal stellia neutral sound with bass boost, so xbass function no need as plus for me.also i like copper color of hip dac2 to my stellia. i dont see at chord as very ugly looks

im want "portable" desktop dac/ampbest musical for my focal stellia 32ohm headphones with best balanced sound dac. always connected to laptop. no need bluetooth or battery as plus. how is better gryphon vs signature vs diablo or see at xduoo xd05 plus,xd05 bal, topping G5 ?
signature wise, the diablo and gryphon sound really similar. The micro idsd signature sound totaly differently (my opinion to much focus bass and less detail and air).
If it is power you need, Diablo, if the Gryphon is powerfull enough, than you won't miss much. I tried/compared them really well at the shop, with Arya Stealth. The Diablo added a little detail. but not much. If you want more, than you have to go Violectric or Burson etc....

im no need power. im remember my fiio Q3 MQA with 170mW easy drives audeze lcd-2c cb headphones 70ohm. so,stellia has only 35ohm, driven can be any dac even tongle with 100mW output. how about ifi dac hip2 400mW output compare vs other ifi grands in sound musically quality/?

The gryphon sounds way, waayyyyy better than the ifi hip dac2, I audited than one too, but the hip dac sounds harsch and cold. The gryphon sounds neutral with a sparcle into warmth (without over doing it like the micro idsd signature)

Fiio k9 pro looks great as a desktop DAC amp
i think for 800-900€ is great every desktop amp. but xDuoo is best ratio price/quality and 450€ new hybrid xduoo TA-22 is way better vs any transistor 900-1200€ amp. with rolled nice tubes. after rolled nos telefunkens, rft, tad, im found modern tungsols is superior to them all. im happy Tidal Hifi Plus user- focal stellia/ta-22/tungsol 12au7w.

My over-the-top semi-portable Gryphon rig for your amusement! 😄

Good thing is it sounds sublime. See my post below on the Douk U2 Pro DDC thread for details.

Just got the version with the Crystek CCHD-957 oscillators. A large step up over the standard version: more detailed, refined, greater sense of space, including acoustic decay and with better dynamics, transients and bass weight.

Adding the Holo Audio Titanis USB regenerator/galvanic isolator takes it up the same level again - actually more I reckon - the effect is more than additive, it's synergistic with the Douk. The two together allow the Gryphon to play superbly refined, detailed and dynamic with a lovely black background and any trace of digital glare banished. If you can find one - they're in short supply - I highly recommend the Titanis which works equally well in front of the U18 DDC. I'm thinking seriously of getting a second one if I can find one.

The rig sounds indecently good for the money and is not a long way behind my Gustard R26 + OCK-2 based main system which is crazy for a semi-portable rig.
