X1 Custom Firmwares

When I downloaded that scifi theme, it's obviously a folder, but there isn't an x1.fw file there. I tried a tool, but it was saying something to locate that file, etc. I've done a few other themes and they were an x1.fw file, where I just dragged it to the fiio folder, then updated it.

1. Download the x1.fw from Fiio (has to be version 1.6)
2. Unpack it (has to be in the same folder as the unpacker). A x1 folder will be created. It has all the firmware files.
3. Replace whichever of the 6 factory themes you want.
4. Optionally replace the font with one you like. The msyh name has to be preserved.
5. Use the packer to pack the x1 folder back to x1.fw
6. Put the fw on the SD card and update your X1 firmware. All your settings should be preserved. Select the theme number you replaced.

As usual, I'm not responsible if you ruin your Fiio following these steps.

As a thanks to everyone on this forum, for advice and opinions I've read (from the sidelines) over the years, I've recompiled TCD1975's wonderful theme from page 6 with X1 1.6 FW:

No way am I the author, all I did is repack the theme with 1.6 FW, loaded and tested it successfully on my X1 - the theme is the awesome work of TCD1975

Pedronet it´s a bit difficult to explain it was just an error-trial succes you must check that every file is in each correspondent folder and this newer versions have more icons here you have the new firmware with X3 themes:

Please test it and tell me if it´s working OK and tomorrow I´ll try TCD1975´s theme.

I actually got it right now x) but since there are new icons some things have to be changed. For example there is a new playing mode that you can select through the long press of the menu button when playing a track right? since there is a new button, the background must be expanded to the right a little. This is gonna be troublesome x) i'm still gonna try. Gonna try your pack too, thank you

It's really well made! Congrats

So far the only thing i would change is the font color on the playing screen, where it says the song name, artist, album and format. It's too dark to read when we have album arts that are too bright. I don't know if that was the original setting, so far it affects themes 1, 2 and 3. But that's an easy change on the config file

and this is just for my preference of course.

Other than that, it's wonderful. Thank you so much
