I'll leave it run for a few days then after I buy it. Also doesn't tube rolling invalidate your warranty?

If you choose the right tubes, the ONLY outcome will be better sound! No problem

Well, I'm not sure if changing the tubes by yourself will stop the warranty. But I'm sure that the right tubes will make V8 work as well as the factory ones!

yamallan, from what you said,i don't think that i would like the solo better than my v8.I like v8's nice, balanced, natural sound and wide, open soundstage, and the bass is good too.The little improvement in dynamics and bass will eventually come when i buy the xpsu.I will buy the xpsu v8 because i like the improvement in sound quality(tested it when i bought my v8,tighter more defined bass, better dynamics and overall better clarity, better transparency)the design, and it is more versatile if i want to buy another musical fidelity product of the same series.

If you open it and change the tubes,it will void the warranty,it is said in the owners manual.

john53, if you're using more than one X-can products, X-PSU is the right choice, but if just V8, I would recommend the little pinkie. It's much cheaper and perform as well as X-PSU.

Yeah, some other members recommended the same. There is and one more reason i don't want to buy the little pinkie:I never buy anything from the internet(the only think that i may buy from the internet is a pair of the old thicker pads for my hd 600,if i can't find them anywhere else)

Do you know how much the little pinkie costs in euro?(with the shipping)If it's much cheaper maybe i should think it again?

The little pinkie costs £100+shipping.
Check it here: Little Pinkie, PSU for Musical Fidelity X-CAN V3

Well, I don't know how long the delivery will take, one week is enough I think. You can contact Mike for more detail.
I don't affraid of internet shopping, it's usually fast and safe

Yamallan, can you describe the difference in sound between the xcan v8+standard wallwart and xcan v8+little pinkie?(some people had described it on some other posts, but i want more opinions on this)

When i tried the xpsu v8 the difference was immediatelly noticable.Bass was tighter, with better impact, better defined, highs had better transparency, rythm and timing improved, mids were more lifelike and smooth, and the sound was a bit overall livier, more involving and enganging.
Although i'm satisfied without any psu, when i first listened to the xpsu v8,i was sure that someday i'll buy it.but it's a bit expensive...so i'm tempted with the little pinkie because with the money left i could buy a better interconnect.

Well, I don't want to, but I have to say the standard power supply comes with V8 is a rubbish! It makes V8 sound laid-back, lacks of clarity, dynamic, details, highs extension and bass control. You can significantly find Little Pinkie improves everything as well as X-PSU. I assure you Little Pinkie makes V8 sound much much better! This is my own feelings and I think everyone who is using Little Pinkie has the same feelings too.

Compare Little Pinkie with X-PSU, some guys from Taiwan said that Little Pinkie provides more clarity and sweet sound!
