Wow, what are they doing?

Grados are much more expensive overseas. Sometimes twice as much.

Further, Grado dealers are under agreements not to sell outside of certain territories. If you are in the UK, for example, you cannot buy a pair of Grados from TTVJ or HeadRoom.

So, even at this price, an overseas buyer will still get a good deal. It seems the seller knows this, as the listing states a couple times that he will ship overseas.

Indeed. In Denmark the msrp for a GS-1000 with stock cable is (with current dollar rate) near $2000. This is not just the case with Grado. A Shure 530 retails at near $1000.

JESUS CHRIST are you serious? I thought the U.K. was the planets rip off centre but se530's with the pth are gonna coast a little less than $500, closer to a $1000 is MENTAL.

If so, any Danish members want to buy a hardly used fully boxed se530 with pth? :p lol

Down here as well, NZ$170 for SR60, $260 for SR80, $350 for SR125 etc. RS1s are $1200 and GS-1000 $1800, from looking at one of the few stores that sell them.

Especially irritating considering how weak the (US) dollar is at the moment. If I upgrade my Alessies I'm probably just gonna go for MS-Pros.

Please, spare a thought to UK headphoners. We pay through the nose on most things. U.S. get the SR60's for nearly the same price as UK gets the iGrado's!

Seems like a great business opportunity for an enterprising U.S. citizen to buy and re-address stuff. The ebay site flogging SR-60's states that it is "new and opened" so this probably gets around the legalese crap...I certainly hope so.

$96 for sr60 is roughly the price you would pay if you were buying it in a store in Toronto (which is where the item is from!). I forgot the reasoning behind it (maybe they are adding in the price of transportation to the store, or some weird thing that happens after grado's leave the us), but they are generally a bit more expensive than in the us. I bought my sr-80s for about $130 at a audio store in toronto.
