Hello guys. let me share my latest project.
My friend from Davao , Philippines asked me to modify his Sony mdr-7506.

I crafted a wood cups for it, recabled and sew an angled pleather pads.

Bass now is fuller and tight. It trims the treble in a favorable way.

This is the concept to the final product.

Nice!
Maybe you should make and sell them, you might make a bit of money
Pretty sweet mod to a not so expensive headphone.

I love my 7506's and would DEFINITELY pay for that mod. Are you interested in doing another set?

First buyer to the suggestion!!!
Wood cups are quite expensive though, but if you LOVE your 7506, I see no issue spending a bit to make things look better.

Also another suggestion, if you/anyone else does this or if people buy your kits (if you choose to make and sell), I think that a a new headband leather would look good. I was looking at the wood cups and thought that if the headphone had a tan leather headband with the wood, it would look amazing.

Hello arbiche,

can you please tell me one thing? I want to replace the entire head band of my Sony MDR-RF800R because it is very fragile, and I just love the head band of these model MDR-7506.
Could you please share the measurements between the two poles wich hold the cups?
I'm portuguese, so if you could give me those in metric units that would help a lot!
Thank you, and keep up the excelent work!!
Love those cups!!
