I ordered the amp pretty recently and decided to cancel but Mike said I couldn't because it would be ready next week. This confused me because he said 4 weeks from a previous conversation. I odered a week ago.

Received WA5 LE upgraded in record time. It's amazing and really digging the TH900 MK2.

I went with KR300b Sophia 274b and drivers I’m not sure about using PSvane cv181 as they touch the 300b. Ken Rad undecided about so stock is good.

@Bonddam What happened to your EVO 400 integrated?

But i also just ordered (well changing my order from a WA22 to WA5-LE)
where did you get the KR300b?

I'm not sure which tubes to get. Takatsuki TA-300B?
https://www.partsconnexion.com/TSUKI-81942.html <-- is partsconnexion a legit place?
i'm not sure about the rectifier. Maybe the Sophia? (Also maybe a Sophia 300b too? people seem to like the royal princess... https://sophiaelectric.com/collections/vacuum-tubes/products/pages-se-royal-300b )

Anyone try either either the

I had the Sophia Princess 300B and 274B in my WA5 for several years with no desire to upgrade. I have never heard the TA 300B but I have purchased from Parts Connexion successfully in the past.

I bought the WA5 used from an individual more than 4 years ago. It was less than a year old and at that time the Sophia tubes were the upgrade tubes offered.

I can't stand listening to two channel I get this strange mind set sitting listening to normal stereo so I returned the power and intergrated.

I bought KR300B from Abyss as recommend as dynamic with lots of bass vs smooth of the Takasuki per Mike Liang.

Woo can get the 300 KR but they come from Abyss so quicker to buy from Abyss.

Oh. Nice suggestion to get the KR from Abyss.
I'm unclear which direction to go with for the Susvara. (As i don't have it till next week and nothing to drive it... well.. the PrimaLuna evo should.)

I always thought the Abyss was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much money.. but yeah.. now I have a Susvara (that said, i got like $2k off)

Did Mike have suggestions for the rectifier? Or is the impact not as large vs power? I always though the Sophia looks cool :)

When my Tak died Mike suggested the KR HP 274B. My hierarchy of tubes goes: 1) Driver, 2) Power, 3) Rectifier.

I have a few CBS 5962 around and planned to use them. Which 6sn7 are you using? any suggestions?

Mike suggested the Sophia 274b but they aren't mesh, they should be called slotted solid plate. Only real mesh i've seen are the EML units, but I decided to stay away from EML with horrible wait times for getting tubes. I'm happy with the Sophia's as my rectifiers. The 1266 have awesome sound with KR, Sophia, and Ked Rad(drivers). According to Mike the drivers should be the last upgrade. 6sn7 needs the most research. My bass really resonates with my tube setup and the highs sound really good for fresh tubes. I do have the psvane cv181-T which need a lot of work from the research I did and even though compatible they draw a bit more current that could wear down the amp but not likely too happen according to the information I gathered through Google. I ordered some new production Tung Sol 6sn7GTB from Vivatubes for $76 shipped cheaper then Amazon. Need to compare if I can live without NOS.

Are those tubes military units?
