Woo Audio WA5/WA5 LE owners

I wouldn't exactly say any of Woo's adapters are cheap, but they are good quality and should last forever.
Coming from someone who owns 2 pair of Woo 13DE7 > 13EM7 and a Woo 596 > 274B (and need to order another one), yeah, they're not cheap. At least they look much nicer than the cheap stuff on eBay.

Added my Vinyl back into the mix but I want my Technics 1200 mk2 as it sounds better to uses when fly by switching of speed.

How do you like your Woo DAC?

How do you like your Woo DAC?
I'll be honest it's my favorite DAC. It's my favorite because it sounds analog and cost only 1299 vs my Wells and Holo May being 5 grand. It just melds with WA5 LE so naturally. Last it fits in with my Woo obsession of looks and being a tank. I don't listen to anything higher than 96khz so 192khz never gets used. I don't care for DSD as I only own one album in DSD Norah Jones which being from 90's I'm a fan. I use Tidal in waspi and Qobuz in ASIO.

I actually have these on order and was wondering. Are they touching? How do you like them and what do you like better for drivers if anything? How about any 6f8g?

They do touch ever-so-slightly, but with some fancy angling, they can skim by with a sheet of paper's width between them.

As for how they sound, I've only had them a few hours - need some time to evaluate them. They are definitely precise with instrument placement, that's for sure...

BTW. I ordered a pair of NIB Matched pair TUNG-SOL VT99 6f8g Round Plates from BuenosAres Radio in Argentina on Friday as well as a pair of Woo Audio 6F8G > 6SN7 adapters. I'll let you know how they sound once they arrive (in about a month or so)....

Thank you. Curious about these as well. They’re in my short list.

How does the wa5 pair with the Atrium?
Quite spectacularly - they're incredibly fast, punchy, bumpin' without being bloated. Vocal present, and crisp without being harsh. The tubes are allowed to add their own color. Staging is quite dramatic, and the detail is especially precise. Best way to describe them is a more musical Utopia.

What amps are on your mind or is it headphones on your mind? WA5 LE or WA5 Does better for all headphones. Makes ok headphones sound better and I tested all ZMF dynamics on it and it was more organic than WA33 which only performed great with planar. ZMF is a strange headphone for needing tubes. Solid state amps for most part leave more to be desired. The mass live tubes on ZMF and WA5 is not slow or analytical. Has more rolling options than posted on their website. I'm currently using c3g pentode drivers for more linear sound which is recommended for driving 300b tubes. Also 10,000 hours as they were used in German post(telephone amps).
