Why beats by dr.dre are considered good?

Don't forget the "Cool" looks, I just don't understand the appeal of it. I mean look at Ultrasones, heck even AKG... those are nice looking headphones with good build quality and SQ. I don't really like the plasticky looks of Beats and when I hold one of them in an Apple store, they felt so flimsy compared to my Pro750.

If they were an 80-100 dollar headphone, they'd be quite mediocre (the studio version.)  At 300 or whatever dollars, they're quite bad.

so  they worth as much as $50-$60 so a grado 60i would essentialy top the studio versioni in enjoyability.

They are correct.  The DBI pro 700 is only $40 and is significantly better in audio quality.  The beats should be priced around $30 respectively, there are literally dozens of other sets for $25-75 that I would recommend over the Dre line
