Gotta go with Prince as well. He's funky, he shreds, composes, plays a couple dozen instruments, and makes music do what ever he wants it to, which usually involves women losing their clothes. He is the man. The classic Return To Forever lineup gets runner up in my opinion, yes all four of them.

Have to agree.

The first person I thought of was Prince.

DUH, Scatman John.

But in all seriousness,
It's very difficult to say.
No one person comes to mind.

I don't think it's Scatman John, though.

X17. She is the most talented of all artists ever. Just look how many fans she got. She is even better than Bonnie Tyler and that should say the most....

Buckethead once again, he is a genius when it comes to the guitar, but I am not sure that makes him the best musician.

Lil' Wayne is the most lyrically capable of anything I have seen or heard before but he has no vocal skill nor any other musical talents, so definitely not the best.

This is a hard choice, if only Bob Marley were still alive.

Buckethead, absolutely. He has complete mastery of the guitar, which I can't say of anyone else.

Michael Angelo Batio has a more complete mastery of the guitar, in my opinion. I would never consider him for the most talented musician however, because he struggles to write good, accesible music.

What? Buckethead was not on the first Mr. Bungle album.
