Which musician in your opinion has the most talent of them all?
Whether it be innovation, raw skill etc.
My vote goes to Bobby Mcferrin.

Hmm... Two years ago I would have said Mstilav Rostropovich. Now, I'm not sure the answer is clear.

Steven Wilson, because of his talent in not just playing instruments, its a combination of great song writing, excellent production and mastering talents as well. Mikael Akerfeldt probably comes a close second for me (or even a tie), cos he is an excellent song writer, has fantastic vocal skills, and can play a guitar pretty well.

Eric Clapton

How can one pick just one musician? I've got four that I'm pretty sure take the prize for skill on their respective instruments, and probably tie in the innovation department:

Edgar Meyer - double bass
Béla Fleck - banjo
Chris Thile - mandolin
Zakir Hussain - tabla

Henri Dutilleux, Scott Johnson, Allan Holdsworth, Fred Frith

These are just four musicians who come to mind when it comes to musical talent and my own musical preferences, not really the «best».
