Who else despises skullcandy headphones?

Very.. Hate filled destructive topic, but I agree. I gave my (blonde) sister a pink set for her b-day, and they broke within 3 months. I've owned some IEM's that also sucked (even though they cost 50$). Stiff cable cracked and they belonged to the garbage bin after that...

I don't have that big of a problem with Skullcandy.. but I -hate- it when stuff like this happens:

A friend thinks that having four headphones is crazy.
He says one $100 headphone should be enough.

I tell him that each of my headphones are very different.
And I told him that if he had heapdhones of my quality he would understand.

He says he does! I get ready for him to tell me that he has a low end Senn or something.
He tells me he has the SkullCandy Ti Series. And that they are amazing.

I *facepalm*

He won't believe me when I tell them they are crap.
He tells me they cost $70 (They must be good!)

My students thought Skull Candies were awesome. Instead of explaining anything, I brought my headphones to school for them to listen to, and a portable amp.
They were blown away by the build quality, clarity, and overall sound quality.

I'll have to try theses phones one day. I understand they have massive bass, some even need a battery in the head set, for what reason? Do they vibrate to the bass?

Absolutely. When real sound waves just aren't enough...
