I think the new 458 is breathtaking...

That is the epitome of form and function blended w/ Ferrari elegance.  A jewel in the Pininfarina crown for sure.  The interior is without a doubt my favorite driving environment I have yet to see.

@SP Wild, I've always been a die-hard Lamborghini fan ever since the Muira and Countach so I hear ya.

I was thinking the same thing Xan, but everyone was like 'OMG great photos'...

In defense of the photographer (a bit) this was all shot in 1 spot in a showroom. Not ideal, by any means.

My all time favorite though is the F550 Marranello. I had an enormous poster of this car in black in my room when I was in middle school until I moved out for college.

This was a car penned in the late sixties - poster car for every child in the 80s.  Today's supercars look modern - back then, till now, this thing looks futuristic and is always on the verge of taking off into space.  It is a raging bull with zero sophistication.

I always thought the Countach was ugly. The Diablo was a very welcome makeover.

Absolutely agreed!!!  THE RAGING BULL continues.  Just the simple parameters of an extremely wide rear track, coupled to a low roof line - even along with the Murcialago, for it's price, it laps race tracks in standard form with the million dollar plus super sophisticated exotics.  For all intents and purposes - it still is an industrial design of a tractor, wide big rear, small front.  Lamborghini was originally a tractor maker.

Forget the new stuff. The sexiest car is an older model. If I could have 1 Ferrari, it would be a 1966 ferrari 330 p3.

Too bad the street 330s look terrible in comparison. I mean they are cute little roadsters, but certainly nothing as enthralling as the racing version.

The 412p was the consumer version and looks the same.

Man, now I see a glaring example of why people say never trust wikipedia. The page for the 330 says the 330P was related to the standard 330s, then after your comment I see a page for Ferrari P class cars that states the 412P is as you said the customer version. 2 pages stating opposites.

Nothing in Wikipedia said it was a road going car...just a customer race team version of 330P.

But agreed, quite the looker - along with the GT40, in that era - racing sport cars were pure function over form.
