I think PK1 is very good compare to Grado RS-1 ($700) and some said PK1 "CAN" (the forbidden word!) hold ground against his Grado RS-2 ($500ish?) I assume PK2 isn't that far behind PK1

Remember to post you thoughts in the post after you gave it some proper burn-in

Ok, I will, but I am by no means an audiophile. I will still post what I hear when I get them (for christmas!)

Should I just listen to music to burn them in? Or is there some special music to do that?

I'll probably take off the HD280 Pros from my "list", I want comfort, so I ill probably go with an open 'phone.

Still deciding between the HD555 and the DR150.

The AT ATH-700 might still be a choice, I don't know. Somebody said they aren't that good for rap, I have heard they have pretty good bass. What makes them not suited for it? How do they compare to the others?

The A700 doesn't have a bass that extends deep, so if you crave deep bass with your rap music then they may not be what you're looking for. The A700 do have detailed sound with a good soundstage, which may be better suited (but not perfect) for rock music. They also do well as a set of cans for gaming.

How do they compare to the DR150s?

Are you talking about the closed ones? (I assume so.) The open ones are probably going to be similar, I guess.

Bass isn't the most important thing to me, but I would like do have good bass. I think I'm leading towards the DR150s, they look good compared to others, any more opinions?

I am deciding between DR150 and AD700 right now. The HD555 seems ok, just not as good as the others, may be wrong. I probably would be willing to pay the extra price to get the DR150 than the 555, I don't have many opinions on the AD700 but I heard it is a good headphone.

Thanks so far, any more opinions??

I think I am probably going to go with the DR150. Anybody else have opinions on that, AD700, or others? (I'm not getting this till after Christmas so all comments are appreciated!)
