Grado SR80, that was turning point for me.. since i purchased them 5 yrs ago, i have bought and sold over 20 headphones and iems.

Just got some Grado SR-60is in the mail this morning, listening to Mahavishnu Orchestra's "A Lotus On Irish Streams". Unfortunately I now know what my poor college self is going to spend all his money on =(

For me it was the Alessandro MS-1i's, coming from an older Sennheiser HD212 Pro, I thought the sound of the Senns was really nice but after upgrading I recieved my first eargasm

I was listening to Tool, forget which song it was, but I feel these cans compliment the vocals and instruments with that band amazingly well.

Well this is an old thread but definitely a bit of fun so I'm going to post..
I think my turning point was er4xr , I had previously had others but they for me were killers and slaughtered visciously most of what I had heard previously! ... killer iems at the time total blood bath lol
I know it says headphone but hey if we're talking eargasm surely it's whatever turns you on,?
