Sennheiser HD 555's .... just hooked up to a Philips CD-player.

The first album which gave me an eargasm would have been "Eric Clapton - Unplugged"

Oh, no sorry, that was my second....

This is going to sound weird but my first was listening to Queens Greatist Hits somewhere in the 90's.
The source was an Old Pentium II 133 Mhz computer with some free headphones I got on an airplane flight, I guess I was about 9 years old. (A little young for an eargasm don't you think

)

Listening to the album again at the moment... now with the hd-555's ... man, still sounds great

I'm almost ashamed to admit it, but..... My first time was Listening to Zeppelin through a pair of Sony MDR-V6's back in 1989. What can I say, I was in high school! I was young and inexperienced and didn't know any better....

In more recent years it was the RS-1/RA-1 combo I heard while auditioning phones at a local hi-fi shop. Couldn't justify the price, though, so I went with some HD590's instead. But don't worry, she's been very good to me ever since!

I like the suggestions on this page! In the same vein, I put "The Theme from S.W.A.T." on the NYC Meet playlist - I bet it took a few folks by surprise, but it really is a nice WOW track in meet conditions!

AKG K1000 - about 15 years ago I walked into a store and someone asked me if I would like to hear something really good. I was shocked and fascinated at once. Besides the undescribeable sound they really looked like something man had never seen before by that time and they sounded like "please bag them for me" but when he was telling me about the price I thought of better getting my school and collage and everything else done first. But now and maybe in the near future,....who knows

another vote for SR60 - I was so new to this sound/foot tapping music thing.

I had SR-60s before my ER6i's, but until I hit the 200 hour mark for burn in, I don't recall ever getting an eargasm with them, so I'd give it to the ER6i's.

HOWEVER, and this has been several years, so I'm not sure... I think my Koss TD/80s may have given me my first.

Anyone from California remember the Pacific Stereo chain in the late 70's, early 80's? They had a house brand called "Concept". Great stuff. Bought a pair of Concept headphones for around $80-$100. They weren't your usual dynamic headphone, worked differently but can't recall how. I used those things 'til they fell apart. Absolutely wonderful.

Then my parents bought a pair of top-of-the-line Sennheisers . . .
