Which DT-880 Version is Best for Use with AV Receiver

I am in the USA so shipping from Germany and France plus import duty will likely be quite expensive.  Amazon lists these headphones but have not had them in stock for quite sometime.  The one Amazon Marketplace vendor who lists the headphones in-stock has a 95% rating and has not answered my email inquiry ... It seems like for whatever reasons vendors don't carry these headphones in their inventory and only get them from the manufacturer when they get an order.

304.95$ does seem a bit steep, here it is 200Euro for the 880~600. Amazon.com is 284$

congrats! :)

my beyer 880 600 ohms sound better out of my solid state audio gd c-2c amp compared to an entry level tube amp (little dot mkII)... great to hear that your receiver drives it well too :)

ive had 3 different av receivers with dt770's 250ohm and some german maestro 805hs's 300 ohm and i can say that all 3 receivers over powered the headphones by ALLOT. the volume could not go past half or your ears would bleed. so i think most newer sony/denon/onkyo receivers would power it just fine and also do it better than 90% of the headphone amps for the price. headphone amps are mostly a hoax unless you spend 1000 or more. and they are also better than most soundcards for the price.
