Hi i am going to get the akg k701 and i was wondering which goes better audio gd nfb-2 + (audio bd c2.1 or the matrix m-stage). I guess if i go for the c2.1 i can use the acss cable.

So if anyone has had experience with these headphones and amps i would love your thoughts :)

thank you,

I tested them with a Schiit Asgard

I like the pairing. But it's not a DAC btw. If your source is good, you might not need a DAC for a long time.

ugh don't bring back my bad memories of the K702 and Asgard, I'll have nightmares. Supposedly Schiit made them sound better with AKG stuff, but who knows.
Best amp for the K702/K701 I've tried was the Headroom Micro Amp. Matrix M-stage seems to be what everyone here suggests for the K702. I'd like to try one sometime.
I usually try and stick with amps built inside the USA whenever possible.

BTW I don't think any of us are helping him out here

I had the C-2.1 with AKG K702.  It sounded good.  But I believe the Lyr will be better.
