Highlander is a great and innovative movie, it or parts of it have been ripped off by numerous shows and movies.

Hey, I have a still-in-the-wrapper DVD of Highlander. If anyone wants it, PM me

There are (two?) new scenes which total up to 49 extra minutes of footage in the Redux version. Most reviews I have read (all done by critics) said that the extra 49 minutes didn't really add too much to the movie, but just helped explain the story and what the war was about a bit better to anyone who didn't understand it. Plus the Redux version is digitally remastered.

EDIT:
Here's a link that shows the differences.

Well, that's what DVDs and laserdiscs are for! Find a good place that rents them.

Go through the lists posted here and start watching!

MY Favorite Year

Peter O'Toole (Lawrence of Arabia) (also great) as a

A drunken movie star

Relieving himself in a Ladies Room

A woman walks in and says this is only for Ladies

Mr. O'Toole glances towards what he's doing and says

"So is this but I have to run a little water through it once in awhile"

I can't believe I have so many "favourite" films.

How could I have forgotten "My Favorite Year"? That was awesome!

And "Lost Boys"!

Which made me think of another vampire film, but I can't think of it now.

Dam! And I didn't think I liked movies that much.

Wild Bunch was great!

The Magnificent Seven!

Bridge Over The River Kwai!

EDIT: Oops, I meant "Lost Boys" not "Wild Boys" -- I have no idea what Wild Boys is, other than a D^2 song.

Oh, and I watched "Princess Bride" all over again -- dam, what a great movie. Could be one of the most quotable movies ever, other than "This is Spinal Tap" (quotes there go beyond the film):

"Who are you?"
"No-one of consequence."
"I must know."
"Prepare for disappointment."

(I think I got that right, I'm not sure about that last line.)

And I have to add another one: Twelve Monkeys. Brad Pitt effin' steals the show on that one. His best role ever (well, of the ones I've seen -- and yes, I've seen Fight Club).

I'm surprised that someone mentioned Kiselewski's movies. I personally don't think they are that great.

I love too many films to list but notable in his absence here is:

Sergio Leone!
What about: The Good The Bad And the Ugly

This is a brilliant film almost an opera with Ennio Morricone,s
awesome score and that dialogue!
There is nothing I dislike about this film.

If you have not seen it or have not for a while... Get it and enjoy!

Cheers
