A very interesting subject. Since I like a very good movie but hate a bad one.

Whats your favourites?

The reason I started this thread was actually so I could recommend the greatest movie of all time to you, fellow headfizers:

"The Game" with Michael Douglas.
This is a seriously great movie with a nice mindturning storyline. Please watch it. I'm serious this is SO GOOD!
It's exciting, enticing, revitalizing, SURprising, GREAT!!!

The Godfather I and II, with a slight nod to II because of Deniro's performance. The movie is about life itself.........everything you need to know is in there somewhere.

In no particular order:

The Incident
The Taking of Pelham 1,2,3
Goodfellas
The Godfather 1 and 2
Taxi Driver
JFK
Dave
Casino (minus the scenes with Sharon Stone)
Witness to the mob (NBC movie)
Return to Oz
Platoon
Wall Street
Magnum Force
Return of the Dragon (Bruce Lee)
They Live
Prince of Darkness
The Goonies
Pee Wee's Big adventure
And the band played on
Terminator 2
Avalon
Scarface (Pacino)
The Warriors
The Usual suspects

I also have to agree with The Game, it has a lot of great plot twists.

Pee Wee's Big adventure and the Godfather are in totally different league!

I like too many movie to name, so just off the top of my head in no particular order.

The Godfather I+II
Almost Famous
Forrest Gump
Amelie
Magnolia
Lord of The Rings: Fellowship of the Ring
Terminator 2
Shakespeare in Love (the more you know about Shakespeare, the funnier & better it is)

There are loads that didn't make it, The Matrix, American Beauty, Lawarence of Arabia, Toy Story 1,2, Goodfellas, Full Metal Jacket, The Shinning......

What's that supposed to mean? Big Adventure is probably one of THE best comedies i've ever seen. Mind you i'm 24, so i was around 8 when i saw it in the theater. It's a personal favorite of mine. Yes Godfather and Pee Wee "are in a totally different league. One is a Comedy and one is a Drama. I take it your not a fan of Tim Burton's work eh?

Yea, it would be nice if i could find a copy! It's OOP, u believe that?!

One thing really irritates me about DVD's. They release them for a short while then delete the item for about a year before its re-released (like The Terminator). Very annoying.

Prince of Darkness scares the living crap out of me, especially with headphones...freaky!

Belushi was brilliant - first time I ever mourned the passing of a celeb.

My top 10 movies...

(order can change - depending on mood!).

Alien
Aliens
Terminator II
Highlander
The Abyss
Contact
Star Trek II - the wraith of ploppy!
Die Hard
Monty Python's Holy Grail
The Blues Brothers

I can think of others. Most of those mentioned I now have on DVD and in Director's Cut where possible.

I haven't seen Lord Of The Rings - looking forward to it coming out on DVD. Seen Harry Potter though and enjoyed it thoroughly - not in my top ten though.
