What's the best USB audio cable for the money?

One of my go-to tests to see if the sound is dialed in correctly is this track from the DVD Audio Frank Zappa album Halloween It's my own rip and upload (bought it in a retail CD store in 2003!) because a friend of mine wanted to test it at home. The track is 5.1 downmixed to stereo. I can confirm that in my current setup it sounds awesome, so I could absolutely just leave it alone for a while and get used to it.

Ahh, I had (HAD) many DVD Audio discs, one of my favs was Queen "A Night at the Opera"

Rogers' "basically" un-miced drums sounded so unreal...lol

Cheers

There were so many incredible mixes made for the format that you basically can't hear anymore legally, unless you buy the discs used. My Zappa upload hasn't been hit by any content ID because it's not available anywhere. Maybe eventually they'll all come out in Dolby Atmos.

It's been a few days since i got my Furutech GT2 NCF. After a few minutes i was already charmed but i wanted to wait a little before saying anything. So... to my ears and in my system the gain from the Supra Excalibur is not only real but big. The Furutech is simply in another league. Everything has more space to breathe and express itself in a harmonious way. No ultra enhancement like the Excalibur but still enough clarity and energy to make things enjoyable. Texture and timbre are so natural and just beautiful. The price is also up but for me the law of diminishing returns does not apply here:dt880smile:

Glad to hear that you're more or less getting exactly the same results I am from the GT2 NCF vs Supra Excalibur. It's ~2x-2.5x more expensive than the Excalibur, but it subjectively sounds about ~2.5x better, so it works out.

I just wish that the look and the feel of the GT2 were as good than the Excalibur who is really first class

Yes, the GT2 NCF feel like nothing special. Not bad, but nothing like the Excalibur which not only looks blingier but also shows off its engineering better as you can clearly see the data and power lines individually isolated.
