LOL, not much of 2004 left.

Already I've acquired:

R10's
PS Audio P300
Several sound cards

I'm currently building a new computer too.

I am going to buy a new source(DAC) either this year or early next year.

its really not up to you to decide what is a boring thread or not, if its boring than dont participate in it, start your own rollerblade buying thread. would you like it if in the threads that you start people who found them boring threadcrapped them with unrelated posts? think about it.

Sony CD3K
A couple pairs of ICs
All the above headphones once I am done with them

And IF I get a chance to hear one, I would like to sell the KGSS and buy an electrostatic tube amp so I can toy with tuberolling to get the exact sound I want from the Omega II.

Well, I bought the Senn 650 (x2) and Grado SR325, but not the Beyer 880 (Wayne loaned me a pair for doing reviews), and even added a pair of HD600. As predicted I sold off the SR404, CD3K, HD600, one pair of HD650 (I kept the other pair I liked them so much); but didn't sell the ICs. I also sold my Electrocompaniet EMC-1Up in favor of the eXemplar Audio Denon 2900. (Best audio decision I've made to date!) I am in the process of getting a two-box KGSS. It will include a Plitron transformer, selectable inputs (2), Rhodium RCA jacks, 32-step GoldPoint microprocessor controlled stepped attenuator, and a few other little tricks. I canceled the Blue Hawaii order, and have never looked back! After doing some extensive comparisons to two different models from different builders I am convinced it isn't enough of an upgrade from the KGSS to make it worth 2x the price. I actually preferred the KGSS in several ways, and found nothing in the Blue Hawaii to warrant the extra $1500. Plus, the cost of decent tubes for it cost a good $75 a pop, which is just too much money to spend when you need four at a time.

I kept myself covered by saying plateau - I think I'm done now - but I know that a year from now, this may no longer be the case.

This is head-fi, I can never be truly done.

I think that particular statement is # 2 or 3 on the "you might be a headfiholic if..." list.

I had no plans to buy any headphones in 2004.
So, the only pair I purchased were the AT EW9.

I had planned on a source upgrade and did that in the form of the Arcam CD23T. Of course that made a new amp a necessity. In came the Headroom Maxed Out Home Reference then, I some how ended up with one of JMT's PPA amps.
