I'm afraid the short answer is that at this stage, you can't :frowning2: But keep an eye on the Playstore. The official version will be dropping any day now. It will support bit-perfect 44/16 and MQA playback through the V30 DAC :)

P.S. The latest official version of the Tidal app already supports bit-perfect playback of MQA files through the V30's DAC, but unfortunately, not of 44/16 FLAC - UAPP's next release will do both.

Yeah so I still hear the background noise using Tidal MQA files... So it can't be that. It's very distinct when going back and forth with and without IEMatch.

You sure you have the very latest version of the Tidal app? Does it say "Master" on the payback screen?

P.S. Please let me know exactly which track(s) you're playing. Something is wrong here. You should hear zero hiss from an MQA file via Tidal on the V30 (unless it's background hiss already on the recording).

Body and Soul, Molly Johnson. And yes, it's on 'master'

Found it. Gorgeous track, BTW :) There don't seem to be any gaps/silences in this track though - it's drums, piano and double-bass right from the get go, and I don't hear any gaps, other than the fade-out, in which I hear zero hiss. (I'm usually pretty sensitive to white noise and my V30 has way less hiss than my Hugo 2.) Where are you hearing the hiss? Also, what volume level are you listening at on your V30 when not using the IEMatch? Can you try rebooting your V30 and trying again?

It's not like crazy bad hiss or anything. I listen for it near the end. I can always hear it on those tracks. And for volume it's pretty low since the Andromeda doesn't need much. Less than 40. For non-MQA tracks, check the end of Patricia Barber, Easy to love. It's got a fadeout that has crazy background burble that actually affects the music, like the music turns to static as it fades out.

The crazy background burble from non-MQA tracks is expected :) That's the artifacts of Android's re-sampling. You shouldn't be hearing that with MQA tracks though. In my experience, any hiss you're hearing on a Master, on the latest official Tidal app via the V30 is just noise that's present in the recording.

I just re-downloaded all of the MQA tracks to ensure it's playing offline MQA files, and still there's a really noticeable background burble, and it's completely gone when using the IEMatch. I'd rather not use the IEMatch though because of the volume hit. So if what you say is true I'm keen to figure it out.

Hi, has anyone here tried the IEMatch with a full-size, low-imp headphones? I have an amp with very high gain but most of my headphones are low-imp, if the IEMatch could help it’d be very great

Why don't you give it a test drive? Our return policy is generous to say the least. If iEMatch won't work as expected, you can return it easily. Please feel free to contact your local iFi rep :L3000:

Many thanks for the kind gesture but in my country the return policy for everything is s*** and the people just don’t have that “mindset”. Plus I don’t know who iFi’s distributor is.

@WilliamLeonhart what's "low impedance" for you?

I've ordered one and should be getting it in a few days. For low impedance, I've got an LCD-X (20 ohms) and an AH-D7000 (25 ohms) both of these easily get to comfortable listening levels on normal gain with volume knob around 9 o'clock of Oppo HA-1 set to normal gain.

I can definitely try it out and see if the sound feels the same/different on these, and whether I get more usable play on the volume knob with it. Is there something in particular you're looking for?
