1) Dap/mobile adaptor - used with iems to plug into a DAP or mobile phone source
2) Impedance adapter - switches from low to high impedance to allow sensitive iems to be used with powerful sources
3) Switch from balanced to SE output (to allow balanced sources to use SE Iems or cans)
1) It is a Portable Toaster for your Smart Phone*
2) Bake/Broil
3) Warm/Toast
*For iPhone users it will only work with Wonder Bread Products w/ iOS 9 or later. For Android users w/ Jelly Bean/Android 4.1 or later it may not work at all. For Android users w/ ICE/ Android 4.04 or earlier it will not Toast at all but may be used as a Hair Dryer.
1) Active ground circuit that lowers the noise floor of any smartphone amp output. You plug the 3.5mm TRRS into the smartphone headphone output. Active ground circuit is powered by the mic voltage thus a need for TRRS plug. I don't think this is an impedance matching device since such a need is a really small market and I don't think this is a SE to balanced adapter since there are not many balanced devices that use 3.5mm balanced.
2) Active ground on/off to allow inline mic to function when needed. When active ground is on, I assume mic won't work.
3) iOS versus Android pinout selector. better use of a switch instead of needing to produce 2 different versions
2nd entry variation - same except swap answers 2 and 3
Have no idea if this is at all possible, but this is my guess.
Already made my guess, but looking at others' thoughts I don't know how it could possibly be an amp as it does not appear to have any power source, unless there is a USB port or such we can't see where it would recharge. Even if it does there doesn't appear to be any space for battery of any consequence. The Cipher part of the cable for the SINEs and EL8's is very small, but it pulls power off the Lightning connector. Just some observations. Good luck to everyone on the contest - great idea to get exposure interest to a new product. Smart marketing.
1) As the very small black bit on the left end is just about the same width as the 3.5mm on the right end, I'm guessing it's a 2.5mm to 3.5mm cable adapter.
2) Utterly no clue, so going to guess impedance switch
3) Going to assume a Single Ended/Balanced switch
1) Noise purifier of sorts. Utilized to remove EMI and "hissing" from many different audio sources, but primarily for mobile use (hence its small form factor). 3.5 to 3.5 Connector.
2) Impedance Adapter. For use on anything from IEMs to Circumaural Headphones.
3) Balanced vs Single Ended Output Mode Selector.
1) What is this new product? Where is it used? It is a signal cleaning device which is a smaller version of the iPurifier that goes between the source and the headphones,IEM
2) What is the first button for – the one on the main barrel (on the left)? It turns on the function of signal cleaning/enhancement
3) What is the second button for – the one on the 3.5mm connector (on the right)? Controls whether the device will support an in-line/mic remote or not
I could put it between my iDSD and IEM and get the signal cleaning that the iPurifier provides and do it straight out the HO
