I got a Motorola SLVR over the weekend which came with a tool to take music clips as ring tones. So last night I made the following:

Chicane - Andromeda
The Cure - To The Sky
The Cure - Lullaby
Depeche Mode - But Not Tonight
New Order - Regret
Paul Van Dyke - Angel

Each clip is the instrumental intro to the respective song, and about 8-15 seconds or so. They were chosen because I like the songs and because they seemed like they'd work well.

So what song are you using as your ring tone?

so far i've used mp3 clips (that i make myself) of instrumental passages with:
The Cure - Lullaby
The Cure - Charlotte Sometimes
The Cure - Why Can't I Be You?
The Cure - Lament
New Order - Blue Monday
Gary Numan - Cars
The Human League - Don't You Want Me

right now i've been using a clip of "Are 'Friends' Electric?" by Tubeway Army. it's so appropriate because when friends call me, they are electric, in a sort of way.

oh, that and the former WWF star "The Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase's theme song as an injoke as a ringtone for one of my friends. "money money money money MONEY-EY!!!"

Since I found out how to copy MIDIs onto my phone, I've loaded up quite a few ringtones that I switch between whenever I feel like it.

Metallica - Master of Puppets
Metallica - Disposable Heroes
Slayer - Raining Blood
Slayer - War Ensemble
Megadeth - Symphony of Destruction
Black Sabbath - N.I.B.
Rage Against the Machine - Guerrilla Radio
Rage Against the Machine - Know Your Enemy
Michael Jackson - Beat It
