Are there any stores that offer recabling or plug replace/reterminating. I thought of doing it myself but i don't want to risk screwing it all up.

Your local electronic repair shop should be able to help you out, though you might want to bring a good 3.5mm plug for them (a Neutrik plug would be nice)
