Just got a pair of the AD700's and want to add a mic to them.

The legendary Labtec mic that everyone has used in the past is no longer available.

What is a good mic to use for adding to it nowdays?

I don't want the zalman clip on mic. I want a boom mic to add on.

=O

It's a bit expensive though.

I've seen a couple people have good success using the 1cent generic boom mics off amazon.

I think this was it.

Not as popular as some clip-on mics, but I've read a couple success stories of people who modded their AD700s with them.

Well you can stick boom mics with their own male connector on the outside of a headphone as well, it's just a matter of velcroing a fixture to the exterior of it that can hold a female cable that draws up to it.

Exactly what I did with my D2K's, the only modification to them was adding some velcro.  I used that boom mic from the Amazon link above.  The reviews are right, it's a very good mic and it's dirt cheap.
