The long awaited new top-end headphone from Sennheiser don't go by unnoticed.

I can't wait to hear it. Such a bad place this. I don't even have 1000€ but are already considering getting something that expensive (ß22/HD800).

I've called someone at Sennheiser Germany a little while ago.
He told me (without obligation):
- The HD 800 will be available by the end of march or beginning of april in Germany
- It will cost about 1000€

More or less same words from Spanish distributor. Price around 1000 euros and first units hitting the streets in one month the soonest, more likely two.

Sennheiser Norway: Available probably april or may. Price about 10.000NOK.

So street price of £800 is going to be realistic?

Don't know why, but I have a gut feeling the German & Norwegian release date are much more realistic than the spanish one

We love to extend deadlines in Spain

Anyway, this is still a long wait.... Maybe available before in UK

Great news about the price, that it will be about the same as in the US. And not 2-3 times, as is the case for other vendors.
Not too pleased about the availability date though. February/March in the US, and April/May over here..

Guess its importing from abroad then!

Yeah, it is tempting to import the cans, but then again, since buying at retail price anyway, it would be nice to get them "locally" in case something happens. And if importing we would have to deal with +25% added tax.

Yeah, so I will probably wait until its available locally..
Sennheiser Nordic guided me towards Multima and Elkjøp, as they are Sennheiser dealers. Guess its worth dropping them an email, asking for availability, price and pre-ordering...

I was told by Sennheiser Nordic that there will only be one Norwegian dealer for these cans. I hope not Elkjøp. I do not like them too much.

Seems like Multima are the one.
I searched their website yesterday, without any hits. So dropped them an email, and to my surprise they had it all set up this morning. I'm #1 in line...
