So far straight out of the iPod the sound is decent. I am not hearing the great highs yet but the bass right out of the iPod is not as over the top as I feared it might be. I will search for a portable amp to try them with today as I know I have a few in boxes somewhere.

I assume I just have to get used to them coming from the Westone Customs and the Se530s I have been using lately.

They came without word nor warning. hehe

Thats positive news lewislink, get in!

However, I still think, despite any disarray they MAY be in, that the length of time that has taken to get a fresh unit out to you and the total lack of communique on their part is shoddy CS!! If they are in such upheaval due to the logitech takeover they at least need to make a statement of such so customers are aware.

I'm not complaining because they didn't have to replace my Triples. I received them in trade and the buyer bought them from eBay from a non authorized source. I explained all this to the CS worker, who was very kind and decent, and was still treated royally.

Well, I simply wasn't aware of this fact which, given how strictly stipulated UE's policy on qualification for repair/repacement of their products is, that's very good of them indeed! And, in that scenario, yes, you've been given a favor they didn't have to grant, so, yes, you couldn't really be pushy with them in those circumstances

. However, I just wonder if they would offer this service to every customer in that position?

Actually, once they issued the RMA and accepted my property, I had every right to all answers and assistance. Being that I'm a mild mannered and usually patient and very compassionate person, full of understanding about the frailties of human existence...hehe...I didn't push the issue.

I suppose you did! I just meant morally or whatever, that would change the complexion on it for me and I'd be more lenient and forgiving and accepting than ordinarily. You seem that way inclined, in general, anyway though, which is cool
