What is better than Bose?

Alright... After looming around the forums, reading, and watching how so many head-fi'ers are bagging on Bose, I want to know: What's better than Bose, really? Price is a factor too. Must be sub-$200.

Better than Bose: ALL GRADO's ($50+), JVC HA-RX900 (~$60), Beyerdynamics DT-770 ($108+), Audio Technica A700 ($110+), Sennheiser HD595 ($150+), Audio-Technica A900 ($160+), Denon 1001 (~$100), Koss KCS75 (~$20), Audio Technica ATH-ANC7 (+$107)

Try some grados, SR60s > bose

These JVC HA-RX 900s (paid $48 shipped) are better then Bose, I'd also say the SR-60s are better too, but not by an incredible amount still SR-60s are only $70.

Beyerdynamic DT770. Amazon is (or was) selling the consumer edition for around $108. I own the DT770 Pro 80 Ohm version, and those can be found new on ebay for around $150.

Audio Technica AD700's stomped all over the Bose Triports I tried in a shop.

Interesting. I've tried a Beyer and I didn't like the cups. Not too soft. Sound's good though. Maybe it's an amp-able. My dad hates audio-technica.

Sennheiser HD595s. I love them. ~$170.
Also, if you don't like the beyer cups, you can always change them out. Also, x2 for the AD700s>bose

I'm pretty sure Bose is better than everything. They've done so much groundbreaking research, every other brand just pales in comparison to be honest.
