Maybe we should take apart an HE90 and display how Sennheiser can sell a collection of seemingly inexpensive parts for $5k

Even better, why don't we take apart an edition9 and trying to ascertain how can companies charge $1000 for a collection of plastic parts and some copper wires.

why don't you fund those 2 projects...I bet we can make it a sticky

The Edition 9 and HE-90 can be measured and tested. They are genuine products. There is no controversy about what they do or whether or not they measure at all. People can subjectively disagree over the sound, but there is no disagreement over what a SPL meter will show.

Cables are not like that. At all. The only "facts" are marketspeak taken from the website of the person selling them. If you disagree, then get a 'scope and a signal generator and show us.

The cost of components is only a side argument. The main argument is that these products offer no value in the first place.

Nothing new here. I would merge this thread with the other one that was apparently missing somehow, but it seems that the team has found it, and nothing of substance has been added to that discussion here.

Thus, there is no longer any need for this "Where is that thread?" thread, so I'm going to lock it.
