It's been a year and one day since this was released, so I thought it would be appropriate to just chill along to the [exposed] version of Symbion Project's "Misery in Soliloquy" album, which is identical to the original, sans vocals and drums. It still continues to amaze me how completely different the listening experience and atmosphere are with just those changes and how the album manages to sound like it was intended to be heard this way. I bow to Kasson's songwriting ability and his determination to express himself through music that seems to get more and more personal with each new release.
Here's the first track from the original album, along with the [exposed] version with an adapted version of the original music video.
I was worried when I put this on that I'd made a mistake buying it. I didn't think the vocals were going to do it for me, but man was I wrong. They change ever so slightly from the first track and the rest of the album is fantastic. Been a great way to get back into Metal so far.
The effect seems much more subtle on camera, but the vinyl is 'bone' colored and splattered with charcoal and pail blue.
On the 4th and 5th theres going to be an electronic music festival here with Afrojack, David Guetta, Nervo, R3hab, Shermanology and Sydney Samson
While I'm not the biggest fan of electronic music (I love Afrojack though, the others are cool), these type of concerts or festivals always turn put in huge and awesome parties, and I'm always in for a good party, music aside
since I don't know that much music from the artists, bewteen today and tomorrow I want to listen to most of their music, starting with my favorite, Afrojack
Right now:
Afrojack- Rock The House
next: Afrojack- Lost & Found
Afrojack- Lost & found 2
then Nervo, then R3hab, then Sydney Samson and then Guetta (not a huge fan)
Kinda pumped to be honest, for Afrojack, and the huge partying
