"Lightning Crashes"

lightning crashes, a new mother cries
her placenta falls to the floor
the angel opens her eyes
the confusion sets in
before the doctor can even close the door

lightning crashes, an old mother dies
her intentions fall to the floor
the angel closes her eyes
the confusion that was hers
belongs now, to the baby down the hall

oh now feel it comin' back again
like a rollin' thunder chasing the wind
forces pullin' from the center of the earth again
I can feel it.

lightning crashes, a new mother cries
this moment she's been waiting for
the angel opens her eyes
pale blue colored iris,
presents the circle
and puts the glory out to hide,
- hide

Love that album, was just listening today!  I used to live right next to JG in Mill Valley, literally.  He had this tiny little house and always a big black 7-series BMW, and all too frequently an oxygen supply truck.  I only met him a couple of times, wish I could have said I knew him, he seemed super nice.

Right now, enjoying:

Highs were fine on my setup, considering the source
AGD Dac19 III - MAD Ear+Purist - Ultrasone Pro900
Cool track - haven't got around to looking into Can, yet...

edit - listening to the original version, I am intrigued by this music that seems way ahead of its time.  You've started something here, Ruben.

dank u zeer

Small world, after all ;')

Just another ubiquitous black tinted 7series Beemer (great drivers touring motorcar) parked in front of an unassuming yet comfortable abode (I get the picture)...

Geeze, green O2 tanks , he smoked like the proverbial chimney ...

Though his wind and pipes sounded great on that '87 recording , I think you would agree .

Certainly ran himself down to near death multiple of times only to make yet another healthy comeback when he performed at a very high level with '87 being one of those peak performance periods , very well recorded too .

He enjoyed listening in appreciation of both Jazz and Classical too
